The Diski Shield is the cup competition for the same teams that take part in the Diski Challenge and is almost like the League Cup for the PSL teams.

The Diski Shield was launched this past season with Kaizer Chiefs defeating old foes Sundowns 3-1 in the final.

Sundowns advanced to the final after defeating Golden Arrows while Chiefs saw off the challenge of Bloemfontein Celtic Reserves.

In a slight departure from a normal cup competition there is a third/fourth play-off tie with Arrows picking up a bronze medal.

The Diski Shield is also sponsored by television giants Multi-Choice and offers the players a feel of cup football as well as the travails of the season long league campaign.
